Position Description
We are looking for an experienced Insurance Business Analyst with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain knowledge. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be confident in facilitating requirements discussions and working closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Development, and QA teams.
The candidate should be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of deliverables, proactively identifying issues, and ensuring clear communication and seamless handoffs between offshore and onshore teams.

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
- Collaborate closely with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, Developers, and QA teams.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Support development and QA teams throughout the SDLC by clarifying requirements and resolving questions.
- Identify dependencies, risks, gaps, and issues and proactively communicate them to stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication, documentation, and handoffs between offshore and onshore teams.
- Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and deliverables.
- Participate in requirement reviews, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Maintain meaningful overlap with the onshore team, including availability until approximately 2:00 PM ET.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must Have
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst in the P&C Insurance domain.
- Good understanding of P&C insurance processes, products, and business workflows.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to confidently lead/facilitate requirement sessions and discussions.
- Experience working with Product Owners, Development, and QA teams.
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and process flows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage assigned responsibilities.
- Willingness to maintain required overlap with the onshore team until approximately 2:00 PM ET.
Good to Have
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.
- Experience with insurance policy administration, claims, billing, or underwriting processes.
- Familiarity with insurance applications and end-to-end P&C business processes.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar BA/documentation tools.
- Experience working with distributed/onshore-offshore delivery teams.
- Strong experience with process modeling and business workflow documentation.
