- Understand client requirements, preferences, and budget
- Provide design ideas and solutions based on client needs
- Plan layouts to optimize space utilization and functionality
- Ensure designs meet safety and building regulations
- Create design concepts, mood boards, and presentations
- Select color schemes, materials, furniture, lighting, and accessories
- Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software
- Develop floor plans, elevations, and 3D views
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors
- Supervise site work to ensure design execution as planned
- Prepare cost estimates and manage project budgets
- Source materials and furnishings within budget
- Identify and negotiate with suppliers and vendors
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of materials
- Visit project sites regularly to monitor progress
- Ensure quality standards and timelines are maintained
- Present designs and modifications to clients
- Incorporate feedback and finalize designs
- Stay updated with latest interior design trends and innovations
- Suggest modern and practical design solutions
