Position: Sales Engineer – OEM & Dealer Sales (Industrial Electronics / Electro-
Mechanical Products)
Location: Mumbai
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and energetic Sales Engineer (Domestic Sales) with
2–3 years of experience in B2B sales of Industrial Electronics, Electro-Mechanical
Products, Electrical Components, Switchgear, Electrical Panel Accessories,
Connectors, or Instrumentation Products. The candidate will be responsible for
developing business through OEMs, Dealers, Distributors, Panel Builders, and
Industrial Customers, providing techno-commercial support, and achieving assigned
sales targets.
Key Responsibility Areas
1. OEM & Dealer Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities with OEMs, dealers, distributors,
panel builders, and industrial customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to increase
business opportunities.
Generate new enquiries and convert them into orders by promoting the
company's product portfolio.
Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets within the allocated territory.
2. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain regular contact with OEMs, dealers, distributors, and end customers.
Understand customer applications and recommend suitable products and
solutions.
Handle customer enquiries, follow-ups, and order coordination.
Resolve customer concerns by coordinating with internal departments.
Manage and develop key accounts and maintain long-term customer
relationships.
3. Techno-Commercial Sales
Prepare techno-commercial quotations based on customer requirements.
Coordinate with Engineering and Product teams for product selection and
technical support.
Explain product features, applications, and technical advantages to customers.
Support customers during product evaluations and commercial discussions.
4. Estimation & Tender Support
Review customer enquiries, technical specifications, BOQs, and drawings.
Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and commercial offers.
Assist in preparing tender documents and bid submissions.
Follow up on submitted quotations to maximize order conversion.
5. Sales Coordination & Order Execution
Coordinate with Production, Planning, Logistics, and Finance teams for timely
order execution.
Monitor order status, deliveries, and payment collections.
Ensure smooth execution of customer orders from enquiry to dispatch.
6. Market Development
Identify new customers and emerging market opportunities within the assigned
territory.
Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer requirements.
Share customer feedback and market trends with the management team.
Support product launches, exhibitions, dealer meets, and promotional activities.
Identify new opportunities in EMC segment through field visits and market
intelligence.
7. Reporting & CRM
Maintain daily customer visit reports and sales call records.
Update sales opportunities, quotations, and customer interactions in the CRM
system.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and sales forecasts.
8. Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Marketing, and Customer
Service teams to ensure timely customer support.
Arrange product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer visits
whenever required.
Support internal teams with technical and commercial information for smooth
business execution.
Qualifications
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
MBA in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage.
Experience
2–3 years of experience in Technical Sales, B2B Sales, or Business
Development.
Experience in handling OEMs, Dealers, Distributors, Panel Builders, or
Industrial Customers.
Experience in Industrial Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Components, Electrical
Components, Switchgear, Electrical Panel Accessories, Connectors, Industrial
Automation, Instrumentation Products, or related industrial products.
Exposure to techno-commercial sales, estimation, quotations, and customer
support is preferred.
Required Skills
Good understanding of industrial electrical and electronic products.
Experience in OEM and dealer sales.
Knowledge of techno-commercial quotations and estimation.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Customer-focused with excellent relationship management abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and ERP systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to achieve sales targets.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
