The Ticketing Executive will be responsible for handling domestic and international airline reservations, PNR creation and management, fare checks, ticket issuance, amendments, cancellations, refunds, and passenger service requests. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge of GDS platforms, particularly Amadeus, and be comfortable handling time-sensitive and last-minute travel requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle domestic and international airline reservations and ticketing using GDS platforms, particularly Amadeus.
- Create, retrieve, modify, and manage PNRs (Passenger Name Records) accurately.
- Check flight availability, schedules, fares, fare rules, taxes, baggage allowance, and ticketing conditions.
- Perform fare searches and provide suitable flight and fare options based on client requirements.
- Issue airline tickets accurately within the prescribed ticketing time limit (TTL).
- Update and maintain PNRs with seat selection, meal preferences, SSR (Special Service Requests), OSI (Other Service Information), and other passenger requirements.
- Ensure the correct use of SSR/OSI codes as per airline requirements.
- Handle ticket reissuance, cancellations, refunds, voids, and itinerary changes as per applicable fare rules.
- Process changes arising from flight schedule changes, cancellations, delays, and other airline-related updates.
- Monitor booking deadlines and ensure timely ticket issuance to prevent automatic cancellation of PNRs.
- Verify passenger names, travel dates, sectors, flight numbers, fare details, and other ticketing information before issuance. Send tickets, itineraries, booking confirmations, and other relevant travel documents to clients accurately and within the required timeline.
- Coordinate with airlines, suppliers, and internal teams regarding reservations, ticketing, schedule changes, special requests, and other travel requirements.
- Handle urgent and last-minute booking/ticketing requirements while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
- Stay updated with airline policies, fare changes, GDS updates, and ticketing procedures.
- Provide timely support to the Operations and Sales teams for smooth execution of client travel arrangements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in airline ticketing, travel agency operations, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with GDS platforms, especially Amadeus.
- Strong knowledge of PNR creation, retrieval, modification, and management.
- Good understanding of airline fares, fare rules, fare basis, taxes, baggage allowance, and ticketing time limits.
- Knowledge of SSR/OSI codes, seat selection, meal requests, and other special service requests.
