Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Mandatory Qualification - Diploma in mechanical or B.Tech in mechanical
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Assurance & Control
Conduct in-process and final inspections of automotive plastic components
Monitor production quality to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards
Prepare and maintain inspection records, NCRs, CAPA documentation, and quality reports
Track and analyze PPM levels, rejection trends, warranty issues, and customer scorecards
2. Customer Quality & Complaint Handling
Handle VW customer quality issues and act as the primary quality interface
Lead 8D complaint resolution and ensure timely submission and closure
Ensure compliance with Customer Specific Requirements (CSR), especially VW standards
3. Problem Solving & Corrective Actions
Perform Root Cause Analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and 7 QC tools
Implement and verify Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
Conduct rejection analysis and drive reduction of non-conformances
4. Quality Systems & Tools
Implement and maintain IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Develop and maintain APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and related documents
Apply SPC, MSA, and Poka-Yoke techniques for defect prevention and process control
5. Audits & Compliance
Conduct internal quality and process audits
Support customer audits, certification audits, and regulatory audits
Support and participate in VDA 6.3 process audits
Ensure adherence to customer standards and regulatory requirements
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and quality records as per system requirements
Prepare and present quality KPIs and management review reports
7. Cross-Functional Coordination & Training
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Tooling, and Supply Chain teams
Train teams on quality tools, problem-solving techniques, and customer requirements
Skills Required
1. Automotive quality experience (plastics or injection moulding preferred)
2. Hands-on experience in VW customer quality handling
3. Knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and Customer Specific Requirements
4. Expertise in 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and 7 QC tools
5. Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and SPC
6. Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills
7. Analytical mindset with a continuous improvement approach
