Job Overview:
Gateway International School, Sholinganallur, is seeking a passionate and qualified Biology Teacher to handle AS and A Level under the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should be capable of delivering high-quality, inquiry-based lessons and preparing students for Cambridge assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for AS and A Level Biology
Develop and adapt teaching materials to suit different learning needs
Prepare students thoroughly for internal and Cambridge external examinations
Create a stimulating and safe learning environment in the lab and classroom
Evaluate student progress and provide continuous feedback and support
Maintain proper lab protocols and ensure safety standards are met
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and best practices
Participate in school events, meetings, and parent interactions as required
Candidate Profile:
Postgraduate in Biology (B.Ed. preferred)
Experience teaching IGCSE / AS / A Level Biology is a must
Strong subject knowledge with a practical and conceptual approach
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Tech-savvy and open to innovative teaching methodologies
Ability to join immediately
