Key Responsibilities
- Procure raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and bought-out components.
- Execute procurement based on Bills of Materials (BOM) and production plans.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, and Engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Source molds, tooling, machine spare parts, and assembly components.
- Handle procurement of CAPEX and OPEX items, including machinery, maintenance materials, and service contracts.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock to avoid shortages and excess inventory.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor master, pricing, and purchase history in the ERP system.
- Prepare procurement MIS reports and support inventory audits.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and vendor negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Materials Management or Supply Chain will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Plastic Injection Molding, Consumer Goods, Baby Products, or similar industries preferred.
- Hands-on experience with BOM-based purchasing, MRP, and ERP systems.
