Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mushroom Cultivation Technician cum Trainer for our SHG entrepreneurship and livelihood development program in Thana Kalan, Una, Himachal Pradesh. The candidate will provide practical and technical training to Self Help Groups (SHGs) and rural communities in mushroom cultivation, production management, harvesting, packaging, and small-scale agri-entrepreneurship development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct practical training sessions on mushroom cultivation techniques.
- Train participants in compost preparation, spawning, bed preparation, incubation, crop management, harvesting, and storage methods.
- Demonstrate cultivation of different varieties such as oyster, button, and milky mushrooms.
- Ensure hygiene, quality control, and disease management practices during cultivation.
- Guide participants on low-cost mushroom production setup and maintenance.
- Train SHG members on packaging, branding, value addition, and local market opportunities.
- Support participants in entrepreneurship development and income generation activities.
- Maintain training records, attendance, assessments, and production reports.
- Assist in awareness programs, exposure visits, and market linkage activities.
- Promote sustainable and eco-friendly cultivation practices.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience in mushroom cultivation, agriculture, horticulture, or related agri-based activities.
- Minimum 1–3 years of practical cultivation or training experience preferred.
- Knowledge of mushroom production techniques, crop management, and hygiene practices.
- Experience working with SHGs, farmers groups, or livelihood projects preferred.
- Good communication and practical demonstration skills.
