TEACH was established in 2016 as a non-profit organization. Our vision is to build an equitable ecosystem for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Our mission is to facilitate higher education for them that helps them lead their lives independently and successfully, and assisting them in their personal, professional, and social development.
We currently operate across three campuses in Mumbai, Delhi and Pune, and our vibrant community comprises 400+ students. With extensive industry connections across 30+ employers and sustainability partner organizations, we follow a holistic outcome model. Our student programs cover the following three pillars: Higher education, Skills development, and Aptitude development.
Our programs for Corporates include Employee sensitization, Training sessions on Indian Sign Language (ISL) and interpretation, and Onboarding support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Therapeutic & Emotional Support
Conduct individual counselling sessions and therapy for students with varied emotional and
behavioral needs.
- Plan and facilitate monthly group therapy sessions
Deliver psychoeducational group sessions focusing on emotional intelligence, self-awareness,
stress management, and related areas.
- Build strong interpersonal rapport with students, ensuring emotional safety and openness.
Administer and interpret psychological and psychometric
assessments, including cognitive, behavioral, and emotional scales.
- Prepare documentation and reports for student progress, interventions, and referrals.
- Support the Guided learners’ program and provide relevant inputs based on evaluations.
- Workshops & Training: Conduct workshops and awareness sessions for students, staff,
and parents.
- Participate in internal training and capacity-building sessions.
- Support the planning and execution of wellbeing campaigns, external events, and
research projects.
Collaboration & Inclusion- Work closely with educators to ensure accessibility and inclusive communication.
- Be an active part of the multidisciplinary team to support the holistic development of DHH
students.
- Liaise with academic staff, admin teams, and families to ensure coordinated support for
students.
Program Support & Flexibility:
Take up additional roles and responsibilities as assigned by
the organization. Participate in special projects, research, documentation processes,
program reviews, and team discussions.
- Provide suggestions and feedback for the ongoing development of the program.
Required: Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology/Counselling Psychology.
- Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in providing therapy and emotional support to
adolescents/young adults.
- Strong skills in administering and interpreting psychometric assessments and
standardized psychological tools.
- Good command over Marathi, English, and Hindi.
- Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, especially with young adults.
- Open and flexible to work in an inclusive setup and participate in diverse roles.
- Willingness to learn Indian Sign Language (training will be provided).
- Demonstrated ability to work with a multidisciplinary approach toward student wellbeing.
Work Environment & Expectations
- On-site role at our Mumbai Centre, 6-day work week (Monday to Saturday).
