About the Role
Duromech is looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior CAD Designer – Conveyors to join our engineering and design team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing industrial conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and related mechanical components, along with strong proficiency in CAD software.
The candidate will be responsible for developing detailed 2D/3D designs, preparing manufacturing drawings, reviewing designs, and coordinating with engineering, production, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and cost-effective execution of conveyor projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop industrial conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
- Prepare detailed 3D models, assemblies, layouts, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Design conveyor components such as:
- Belt conveyors
- Roller conveyors
- Chain conveyors
- Screw conveyors
- Slat conveyors
- Modular conveyors
- Transfer systems and related material handling equipment
- Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and part drawings.
- Develop and maintain accurate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and component specifications.
- Select and design conveyor components based on application requirements, load, speed, dimensions, and material characteristics.
- Perform design calculations and ensure appropriate selection of shafts, bearings, rollers, motors, gearboxes, chains, belts, and structural members.
- Review designs for manufacturability, assembly, maintenance, and cost optimization.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, procurement, and installation teams for smooth project execution.
- Review customer/project requirements and convert them into practical engineering designs.
- Modify existing designs based on engineering changes, site requirements, and customer feedback.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable engineering standards, tolerances, and company design practices.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior designers.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control for drawings and design data.
- Support the engineering team in resolving design and manufacturing-related issues.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
