Job Title: VMC Machine Operator
Responsibilities:
- Operate VMC/CNC machines safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
- Set workpieces using fixtures, clamps, and tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Measure finished parts using instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust offsets when required.
- Replace worn cutting tools and maintain tool inventory.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Ensure product quality meets required tolerances.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Record production and inspection data accurately.
Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operation.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments.
- Understanding of machining processes and cutting tools.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and meet production targets.
Qualifications:
- ITI (Fitter, Turner, Machinist) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Experience operating VMC/CNC machines is an advantage (0–5 years, depending on the role).
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, gloves, and safety glasses.
- Shift work may be required.
Job Types: Regular / Permanent, Full-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
