Profile - Mechanical (Static Equipment) Engineer
- Qualification: B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical)
- Previous work experience: Experience in EPC/Engineering in the field of Oil and gas, refinery, petrochemicals, Chemical & Fertilizer.
- Area of Work specialization: Static Equipment and related packages like Pressure Vessels, Columns, Filters, Coalescers & Separators, Shell & Tube exchangers, Air coolers etc.
- Exposure to various metallurgies like CS, low alloy steel, high alloy steel/stainless steel, non-ferrous metallurgy etc.
- Software Skills: Compress, PV Elite.
- Shall perform following activities to meet delivery schedule and share workload of the department:
- Preparation of Mechanical Data Sheet (MDS)
- Inquiry Requisition (RFQ)
- Bid evaluation with technical queries to bidders & recommendation.
- Preparation of Purchase Requisition (PR)
- Vendor Data Review (VDR)
- Co-ordination with other disciplines/clients/vendors
- Code / Standards: ASME Sec VIII DIV 1, ASME Sec. II, TEMA, API 661, WRC, PIP Std. etc.
- Work flow: Knowledge of EPC company work processes during FEED, detail engineering, requisition handling from RFQ through TQ/TBA to Purchase Requisition and VDR.
- Ability to understand & review project design basis, project specifications, process data sheets (PDS), piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's), piping material specifications (PMS), and other relevant documents.
- Good communication skills to deal with international clients is must.
