About the Role:
The Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining automated test capabilities to ensure comprehensive coverage of software functionality, across the University's selected IT systems. Leveraging deep engineering expertise, they tackle complex test automation challenges, integrating various test systems as needed. Through a SAFe Agile approach, they will work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to ensure timely and successful implementation of efficient and effective automated test practices. The role will also play a key role in continuously enhancing the test process and identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, contributing to the overall efficiency of IT operations and the adoption of DevSecOps practices.

- 3+ year's hands-on manual Testing experience *
- 3+ years' hands-on Automation Test scripting experience *
- 1+ year's hands-on Selenium experience *
- 1+ year's hand-on C# or similar experience *
- 1+ year's hands-on Salesforce Testing experience *
Highly Desirable:
- Bring a skill to the Test Chapter from another IT discipline that we currently have limited capacity for (eg.Data Analyst, Environment Analyst, Test Data Analyst, Infrastructure Testing)
- ISTQB-F certification
- Salesforce certification (eg. Salesforce certified Platform Administrator)
- 1+ years' hands-on .NET experience
- Playwright experience
- POM / DI for scripting experience
- Experience leveraging SQL, XML, JSON for Testing
Desirable:
- ISTQB-TTA certification
- Higher education experience
- Atlassian JIRA experience
- SmartBear JIRA Zephyr Standard (for Test Case management) experience
- Atlassian Confluence experience
- Working knowledge of tools like Postman and SoapUI.
- Understands the principles of using Automation as part of a CI / CD pipeline
- Familiarity using AI to generate first draft Test scripts
- Familiarity with SAFe Agile 6.0
