We are seeking a creative and passionate Arts & Crafts Teacher to inspire students and foster their artistic expression. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons, encouraging creativity, and helping students develop their skills in various art forms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Planning & Delivery
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum and educational board guidelines (CBSE/ICSE/IB, if applicable).
- Teach a wide range of art forms including:
- Drawing (freehand, sketching, shading)
- Painting (watercolor, acrylic, poster colors)
- Paper crafts (origami, collage, scrapbooking)
- Clay modeling and sculpture
- DIY crafts and recycled art
- Integrate art concepts with subjects like environmental studies, history, and cultural education.
- Use innovative teaching methods including demonstrations, visual aids, and hands-on activities.
2. Student Development
- Encourage creativity, originality, and self-expression in students.
- Identify and nurture students with special artistic talents.
- Support students in developing fine motor skills and visual-spatial abilities.
- Promote participation in competitions, exhibitions, and inter-school events.
- Provide individual attention and differentiated instruction based on student needs.
3. Assessment & Evaluation
- Develop assessment criteria for art projects and assignments.
- Evaluate student work based on creativity, effort, technique, and improvement.
- Maintain student portfolios showcasing progress and achievements.
- Provide constructive and encouraging feedback to students and parents.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and share student progress.
4. Classroom & Resource Management
- Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating art classroom environment.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of art materials and tools.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and coordinate procurement when needed.
- Educate students on safety practices while using art tools and materials.
5. Events & Extracurricular Activities
- Plan and organize school-level art exhibitions, competitions, and displays.
- Contribute to school events such as annual day, festivals, and theme-based decorations.
- Lead art clubs, workshops, and hobby classes.
- Collaborate with other departments for interdisciplinary projects and events.
6. Professional Development & Collaboration
- Stay updated with current trends in art education and teaching methodologies.
- Attend workshops, training programs, and faculty development sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and school improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts / Visual Arts / Applied Arts or related field (mandatory).
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Diploma in Education (preferred).
- Certification in Arts & Crafts or relevant specialization is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–2 years of teaching experience in a school (preferred).
- Freshers with strong artistic skills and teaching aptitude may be considered.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
