Purpose of the role
The Condition Monitoring consultant will remotely monitor machinery health across multiple manufacturing sites and varying types of production and utilities related equipment to deliver optimal asset reliability through data analysis and delivering corrective and actionable insights to Maintenance and Reliability (M&R) teams.
The CMC will review and analyse data from various condition monitoring and predictive maintenance platforms to identify critical issues and leverage equipment expertise to create actionable work orders. The CMC will drive resolution by collaborating with M&R teams, track program success, and report metrics to key stakeholders, while optimizing maintenance strategies with planning and scheduling (P&S) and M&R teams.
Key Accountabilities
100% of Time:
DATA MANAGEMENT

Review and analyse data from condition monitoring technologies including, but not limited to: Vibration, Infrared, Ultrasound, Tribology, Non-Destructive Testing, and Motor Circuit Analysis.

Leverage knowledge of plant processes, equipment, and components to understand problem statements.
-
Analyse data to monitor for changes in trends or conditions to provide feedback and recommended corrective actions to prevent failures for reducing costs and unplanned losses.

Create work orders for inspections or repairs. (CMMS – Maximo – PM & Item Module)
-
Collaborate with USA Manufacturing Plant M&R Teams to resolve issues and track progress.
-
Compile diagnostic data into understandable formats or reports to share with stakeholders.
TECHNICAL PROBLEM SOLVING
-
Utilize various condition monitoring technologies, predictive analytics tools, and AI-based models.
-
Collaborate with M&R leaders to identify and develop new tools to support overall predictive strategy.
-
Measure program success through metrics such as energy savings, resource utilization, and downtime reduction such as: # of Defects Found, # of Defects Fixed, WO Completion Rate, Downtime Reduction, etc.
-
Develop reports and dashboards for stakeholders to visualize value of program.
-
Work with Planning and Scheduling (P&S) and M&R teams to optimize PM strategies based on predictive insights.
-
Participate in RCA investigations, leading or providing support based on event or expertise required.
-
Utilize Continuous Improvement (CI) tools such as Loss Tree Analysis, Failure Modes and Effect Analysis, Why-Why Analysis, and Daily Management Systems.
SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE

Lead ongoing cadence calls with plant teams to prioritize incoming technical inquiries or data requests.

Leverage EAMS/CMMS data and current market innovation technologies to Identify opportunities to expand predictive maintenance over traditional maintenance techniques (reactive or time-based).

Develop predictive standards and support efforts to implement standards the organization.
-
Master predictive technologies in use and able guide / provide basic training to M&R community across GMI (ES, Plant team).

Create OPLs and documentation for knowledge and best practice sharing across the organization.

Work with CIS team for sensor configuration and data management.
TECHNICAL CAPABILITY BUILDING
-
Provide deep technical knowledge in component functionality and root cause analysis.
-
Provide technical expertise and coaching to implement prevention methods and corrective repairs.
-
Leverage data analysis to identify and eliminate top losses.
-
Candidate must be able and willing to successfully achieve ISO Level III Certification in Vibration Analysis within 36 months if no prior certification is held, 24 months if now or previously certified at Level I, or 12 months if now or certified previously at Level II.

Minimum years of related experience required - 7+ years - Years experience in maintenance and reliability field required. 2+ Years experience in data review and analysis using condition monitoring and predictive technologies (vibration, ultrasound, thermography, oil analysis, mca, etc.) strongly desired.

This position reports to the Engineering Management with the Supply Chain Division. Hours of operation are 1:30 pm to 10:30 PM IST (Monday to Friday) with the ability to flex hours as the job demands.
