Reports to
Sales Lead / Managing Director, Resources — Chemicals (India MU)
As a Senior Manager — Sales (Chemicals), you will drive origination and closure of consulting and transformation deals across India’s Oil & Gas and broader Chemicals clients. This is a sales-focused role: you will own the pipeline, shape compelling value propositions, orchestrate multidisciplinary pursuit teams, and convert relationships into signed, profitable engagements. You will pair commercial acumen with enough Chemicals-sector fluency to speak credibly to client executives, and you will work hand-in-glove with delivery leaders to ensure what we sell, we can deliver.
-
Build, qualify and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities across Chemicals clients; own a sales / new-bookings target.
-
Identify white space and originate new demand — map client priorities to Accenture’s offerings across strategy, digital, AI, operations and sustainability.
-
Develop and nurture senior buyer relationships, including procurement, business and technology stakeholders.
-
Lead complex pursuits end-to-end — qualification, win strategy, value proposition, solutioning with delivery teams, proposal and orals, commercial structuring and negotiation.
-
Orchestrate cross-practice and alliance (cloud, AI, technology) teams to assemble winning, differentiated solutions.
-
Drive deal commercials — pricing, deal shape, risk and margin — in partnership with finance and legal; steward deals through internal approvals.
-
Partner with client account leads to grow strategic Chemicals accounts and improve win rates and deal velocity.
-
Represent Accenture in the market — industry forums, client events and executive briefings — to build pipeline and brand visibility.
-
Maintain disciplined sales hygiene — accurate forecasting, CRM management and reporting.
-
10–15 years of experience in sales, business development, origination or commercially-oriented consulting within the Chemicals / Oil & Gas sector.
-
Proven track record of originating and closing large deals and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
-
Strong commercial acumen — deal shaping, pricing, negotiation and risk/margin management.
-
Sufficient Chemicals-sector fluency to engage client executives credibly on their priorities and the transition agenda.
-
Excellent relationship-building, executive communication and stakeholder-orchestration skills.
-
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification strongly preferred.
-
An unmatched client portfolio: work shoulder-to-shoulder with the leadership teams of India’s largest Chemicals and chemical enterprises on their most strategic priorities.
-
Scale and depth: access to Accenture’s global assets, industry IP, alliance ecosystem (cloud, AI, engineering) and a community of Chemicals specialists worldwide.
-
Accelerated growth: structured career progression, world-class learning, sponsored certifications and mentorship from senior industry leaders.
-
Reinvention at the core: the chance to shape the Chemicals transition, digital and Gen AI agenda for the sector, not just advise on it.
