Job Summary:
We are hiring a Commi 1/Commi 2 (Indian) to support our kitchen team in preparing authentic Indian vegetarian dishes. This is an entry-level role ideal for candidates looking to build their career in a professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation of Indian dishes (curries, gravies, basic snacks, etc.)
- Support senior chefs (CDP/DCDP) in daily kitchen operations
- Handle basic cutting, chopping, and mise en place
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
- Follow instructions and standard recipes carefully
- Ensure timely preparation of ingredients during service
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of kitchen experience
- Basic knowledge of Indian cooking preferred
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team
Salary: As per industry standards
Shift: 9 hours per day apart from 30 minutes lunch time and 10 minute tea break in morning & evening | 4 offs allowed per month.
Preferred:
- Hotel management or culinary background
- Passion for cooking and kitchen operations
