We are seeking a passionate, patient, and highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in diagnosing and treating children with a variety of communication disorders, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), receptive/expressive language delays, and articulation disorders.
The ideal candidate is a team player who loves working in a collaborative setting, utilizes play-based therapy, and is confident in training parents to support their child's progress at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations using standardized assessments and clinical observations.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement highly individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs and means of behavior.
- Direct Therapy: Provide engaging, play-based 1:1 and small group therapy sessions.
- AAC Implementation: Introduce and manage Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, including PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and digital visual schedules.
- Parent/Caregiver Coaching: Actively involve parents in the therapeutic process, explaining the "why" behind techniques (like the ABC model) and providing actionable home-programs.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with Occupational Therapists, Behavior Therapists, and special educators to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
