Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Staff Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring clinical conditions, assisting doctors during procedures, educating parents, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients as per physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Assess, monitor, and record patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments accurately and safely.
- Monitor response to treatment and promptly report any changes in patient condition to the concerned doctor.
- Maintain accurate nursing records and patient documentation.
Neonatal & Pediatric Care
- Provide specialized care to newborns, infants, and children.
- Assist in the care of patients admitted to NICU, PICU, Pediatric Ward, and Emergency Department as required.
- Monitor growth, development, nutrition, and hydration status of pediatric patients.
- Ensure proper infection prevention and control practices while handling pediatric and neonatal patients.
Assistance During Medical Procedures
- Assist pediatricians and consultants during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
- Prepare patients and equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and crash carts.
Medication & Treatment Management
- Verify medication orders and administer medicines according to hospital protocols.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of medications.
- Monitor and document medication administration and patient response.
Infection Control & Safety
- Follow hospital infection control guidelines and standard precautions.
- Ensure proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Dispose of biomedical waste as per statutory guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and child-friendly patient environment.
Parent & Family Education
- Educate parents and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medication schedules, nutrition, immunization, and home care instructions.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Address concerns and queries professionally and empathetically.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain nursing notes, medication records, admission and discharge documentation accurately.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by the nursing department.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nursing staff, laboratory, pharmacy, and other departments.
- Participate in ward rounds and clinical discussions.
- Ensure smooth patient handover during shift changes.
Required Qualifications:
- General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid Nursing Council Registration.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support); PALS/NALS certification preferred.
Experience:
- Freshers may apply.
- Minimum 1–2 years of pediatric, neonatal, NICU, PICU, or hospital nursing experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of pediatric and neonatal nursing care.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Working Conditions:
- Rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- May be assigned to NICU, PICU, Pediatric Ward, Nursery, Emergency, or other clinical areas based on hospital requirements.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
