The individual will implement compliance framework and solutions in order to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results. The candidate will possess the ability to complete high volumes of tasks with minimal guidance or supervision and deadline sensitivity. The candidate must be skilled at anticipating problems, creating contingency plans, managing multiple priorities, problem solving and organizing logistics. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage stakeholders, collaborate with team members, and coordinate across different functions. Candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the organization's compliance standards, mitigating risks, and ensuring smooth operations in alignment with labor laws and regulations.
Key job responsibilities
Drive overall labour law compliance across the organization's locations; engage proactively with government departments and regulatory bodies to ensure timely adherence to all applicable statutes.
Manage end-to-end registration and renewal processes under applicable labour laws, including vendor/contractor licence management and related regulatory requirements.
Ensure timely submission of statutory filings, periodic returns, compliance reports, regulatory documentation, and annual renewals under Central and State labour legislation.
Coordinate with statutory authorities, facilitate labour inspections, arrange necessary documentation, follow up on inspection outcomes, implement required corrective actions, and maintain comprehensive inspection records.
Review and analyse notices received from regulatory authorities; draft appropriate responses, ensure timely submission of requisite documents, follow up for closure, and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
Develop and maintain compliance dashboards tracking key metrics, risk indicators, renewal timelines, and pending actions; provide data-driven insights and periodic analytical reports for management review.
Generate detailed audit reports, track action-plan implementation, leverage compliance management tools effectively, and maintain comprehensive audit documentation with regular status updates.
Provide guidance and subject-matter expertise to cross-functional teams in developing, revising, and implementing HR policies and practices to ensure compliance with labour laws.
Represent the organization before government offices, industry forums, and regulatory bodies for advocacy on labour policy matters.
Lead the organization's transition to the new Labour Codes, including gap analysis, impact assessment, policy redesign, and implementation planning.
- 3+ years of human resources experience
- Knowledge of local labor law
- Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
- Experience with process improvement and stakeholder management
- Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information and adherence to strict confidentiality standards
