The Regional Financial Controller for South India Hotels will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, reporting, and compliance for a portfolio of hotel properties across the South India region. This role requires a strategic financial leader who can drive financial performance, ensure robust internal controls, and provide insightful analysis to support regional business objectives. The successful candidate will be a key business partner to regional operations teams and property General Managers, ensuring financial integrity and operational efficiency.
- Oversee and direct all financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities for multiple hotel properties within the South India region.
- Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing detailed variance analysis and commentary to regional leadership.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles for all assigned properties, challenging assumptions and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital management across the region, optimizing liquidity and investment opportunities.
- Provide financial leadership and guidance to property-level finance teams, including training, performance management, and professional development.
- Conduct regular financial reviews with property General Managers and regional operations teams to discuss performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Evaluate potential capital expenditure projects, providing financial justification and return on investment analysis.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders.
- Implement and optimize financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
- Support due diligence for potential new acquisitions or divestitures within the region.
