Job Summary
Punjab Stainless Steel Industries is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Designer to join our Stainless Steel Utensils Manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for developing innovative product designs, preparing technical drawings, and coordinating with the production team to ensure designs are accurately manufactured.
Key Responsibilities
- Design new stainless steel utensils such as cookware, kitchenware, and household products.
- Prepare 2D/3D product drawings and manufacturing designs.
- Create production-ready technical drawings with dimensions and specifications.
- Develop product concepts based on customer requirements and market trends.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Tool Room teams during product development.
- Modify existing designs to improve functionality, appearance, and manufacturability.
- Maintain design files, revisions, and documentation.
- Ensure all designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar CAD software.
- Good understanding of sheet metal and stainless steel product design.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as deep drawing, pressing, polishing, welding, and tooling.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in stainless steel utensils, kitchenware, cookware, metal products, or sheet metal manufacturing.
- Freshers with strong CAD skills may also apply.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in stainless steel cookware or utensils manufacturing.
- Ability to convert concepts into production-ready designs.
- Knowledge of tooling and die development will be an added advantage.
Salary
₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience and skills)
