Role Overview
The Sales Officer – Solar Brand - B2B (Dealer Channel) will be responsible for managing and expanding business from assigned key solar dealer accounts in the Calicut region.
This role is purely dealer-focused B2B, involving key account planning, secondary sales growth, relationship strengthening, and operational coordination, with no direct end-customer interaction. Prior experience in solar dealer-channel sales is essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey Account Management
- Manage and develop assigned key solar dealer accounts.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with dealer owners and decision-makers.
- Prepare and execute account-wise business plans.
Sales & Performance Management
- Drive secondary sales and ensure achievement of monthly and quarterly targets.
- Monitor dealer-wise sales, stock levels, credit exposure, and outstanding balances.
- Ensure healthy inventory rotation and stock optimization.
Channel & Market Development
- Implement dealer-specific trade schemes, promotions, and incentive programs.
- Improve brand visibility, product availability, and placement at dealer points.
- Track competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends.
Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, logistics, billing, and collections.
- Support dealers in resolving technical, service, and operational issues.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, channel norms, and compliance requirements.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of dealer interactions, sales performance, and feedback.
- Prepare periodic performance reports, forecasts, and review presentations.
- Share timely market intelligence with management.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Strong understanding of solar products, applications, and channel sales
- Proven experience in key account handling within the solar industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical and execution capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple key dealer accounts independently
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Solar industry or MBA Freshers
- Hands-on experience in B2B / Dealer Channel Sales
- Bachelor’s degree / MBA preferred
- Valid driving license and two-wheeler – Mandatory
- Laptop proficiency – Preferred
