Job Description:
Silver Oak University, Ahmedabad is looking for an experienced, academically accomplished individual to take on the role of in Department of Law.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Department of Law.
- Foster a culture of academic excellence and professional growth among faculty through regular evaluations, mentorship, and support for research initiatives.
- Support faculty and students in their scholarly endeavors, encouraging publications, academic partnerships, and the development of research centers.
- Work collaboratively with university leadership to establish strategic goals for the Faculty of Law. Manage resources effectively to ensure continuous growth and development of the faculty.
- Build relationships with legal professionals, law firms, governmental agencies, and other academic institutions. Represent the Faculty of Law in external forums, conferences, and networks.
- Oversee the administrative functions of the faculty, including policy development and compliance with accreditation standards. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and alignment with the university's overall mission.
- Promote a culture of diversity and inclusivity. Engage with the local, national, and international legal community to strengthen the law school's connections and reputation.
Required Attributes :
- Must have handled a leadership role for more than 5 years.
- Strong research background with a portfolio of publications in leading legal journals. Ability to mentor faculty and students in research endeavors.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse academic team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Should have administrative experience in a leadership position, in a law college or department.
