Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and driven Vision System Engineer responsible for
end-to-end management of machine vision-based inspection projects—from
requirement gathering and hardware selection to programming, integration,
customer training, and post-installation support. This is a critical role ensuring
quality assurance in our cap, closure, and bottle inspection automation
systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Understanding & Pre-Project Planning
Engage with customers to understand inspection requirements (e.g. for
caps, closures, bottles, wads).
Document defect criteria such as black spots, missing inserts,
misalignments, warping, or shade variations.
Translate customer requirements into actionable inspection points and
specifications.
Prepare technical feasibility documentation and qualify the project
internally and with the customer.
Hardware Selection & System Design
Evaluate and select suitable vision cameras and accessories based on
application needs.
Expertise in working with major vendors: Cognex, Keyence, Omron,
Basler, SACMI, etc.
Understand camera interfaces, lenses, illumination, and mounting
configurations for optimal results.
Vision System Programming & Integration
Develop and configure machine vision programs using vendor-specific
software.
Program logic for presence/absence detection, dimension checks,
orientation, surface defects, label validation, etc.
Integrate the vision system with PLCs, HMIs, and existing machine
architecture.
Installation, Testing & Customer Handover
Travel to customer sites for system installation and commissioning.
Calibrate cameras and lighting on-site for real-world conditions.
Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Train end users and operators on the system usage and basic
troubleshooting.
Post-Sales Support
Provide online and offline technical support for deployed vision systems.
Diagnose and resolve software/hardware issues remotely or during site
visits.
Documentation & Reporting
Create detailed project qualification documentation, system layout,
inspection logic flow, and SOPs.
Maintain a library of standard inspection programs and configurations
for repeat use.
Update change management records and version control of software
releases.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
