About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious and result-oriented Senior Manager – Sales with 6–7 years of proven experience in the chemical trading industry. The ideal candidate should have an established network of industrial customers and a demonstrated ability to independently develop new business and generate annual sales of atleast ₹25–30 Crores through new customer acquisition.
This is a high-impact role for an entrepreneurial sales professional who enjoys building business from the ground up and managing key customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and onboard new customers across target industries.
- Reach out to existing contacts to develop them as customers of the company’s products.
- Independently generate annual sales revenue of ₹25–30 Crores through new customer acquisition.
- Develop and execute territory and customer acquisition strategies.
- Build long-term relationships with procurement, technical, and commercial teams of customer organizations.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable chemical products and sourcing solutions.
- Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless order execution.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and payment conditions.
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely collections.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, pricing movements, and emerging opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and introducing new product lines.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets while maintaining healthy profit margins.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, customer meetings, and trade events.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Existent strong relationships with the purchase departments of buyers is an absolute pre-requisite.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. MBA (Marketing) will be an added advantage.
- 6–7 years of sales experience in chemical trading, industrial chemicals, specialty chemicals, or allied industries.
- Proven track record of independently acquiring new customers and delivering sustained revenue growth.
- Demonstrated ability to generate ₹25–30 Crores in annual sales.
- Strong network among manufacturers and industrial buyers.
- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of supply chain, imports, pricing mechanisms, and distribution channels.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel extensively for business development.
