JOB DESCRIPTION – BILLING EXECUTIVE
Position: Billing Executive
Department: Billing / Front Office
Location: Hospital
Reporting To: Finance / Operations Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Billing Executive to manage patient billing, payment collection, invoice generation, and billing-related documentation while ensuring accuracy and excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and generate accurate patient bills and invoices.
- Handle billing for OPD, IPD, surgeries, diagnostics, pharmacy, and other hospital services.
- Verify patient details, service charges, discounts, packages, and insurance-related information.
- Collect cash, card, UPI, and other payments and issue receipts.
- Maintain daily billing and collection records.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing, pharmacy, diagnostics, and accounts teams for billing requirements.
- Handle billing corrections, refunds, and adjustments as per company policy.
- Assist patients and attendants with billing-related queries.
- Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of daily collections.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
- Prepare daily/monthly billing reports as required by management.
- Follow hospital SOPs and financial control procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline; commerce/accounting background will be preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in hospital billing or healthcare billing preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital billing software and basic MS Excel.
- Good numerical and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle cash and payment transactions responsibly.
- Good interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends/holidays when required.

Position: Front Desk Executive
Department: Front Office / Reception
Location: Hospital
Reporting To: Front Office Manager / Operations Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and patient-focused Front Desk Executive to manage the hospital reception, assist patients and attendants, coordinate appointments, and ensure smooth front-desk operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet patients, attendants, doctors, and visitors professionally.
- Manage the reception desk and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Register new and existing patients accurately.
- Handle OPD appointments, enquiries, and appointment scheduling.
- Guide patients and attendants regarding departments, doctors, diagnostics, billing, and other hospital services.
- Manage incoming calls and transfer them to the appropriate departments.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing, billing, diagnostics, and other departments.
- Maintain patient registration and front-desk records.
- Assist patients with admission, discharge, and other administrative formalities.
- Handle patient queries and complaints professionally and escalate issues when required.
- Maintain proper documentation and confidentiality of patient information.
- Coordinate with the billing team for billing and payment-related requirements.
- Ensure the reception area and front-desk processes are organized and professional.
- Prepare daily reports and handover updates as required.
- Follow hospital SOPs, patient service standards, and management instructions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in hospital reception/front office preferred.
