Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and experienced Seafood Chef to prepare high-quality seafood dishes while maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards. The ideal candidate should have expertise in handling, cleaning, preparing, and cooking a variety of seafood items and be able to contribute to menu development and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook seafood dishes according to café recipes and standards.
- Clean, portion, and store fish, shellfish, and other seafood products properly.
- Ensure freshness and quality of all seafood ingredients.
- Maintain food presentation and portion control standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering seafood supplies.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Minimize food waste through proper handling and storage practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Assist in developing new seafood menu items and seasonal specials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Seafood Chef, Line Cook, or similar culinary role.
- Strong knowledge of seafood preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Understanding of seafood handling, storage, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary diploma or professional cooking certification.
- Experience in cafés, seafood restaurants, hotels, or resorts.
- Knowledge of international seafood cuisines and cooking styles.
