Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Restaurant Steward to join our team. The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dishwashing areas, supporting overall restaurant operations by ensuring equipment, utensils, and workspaces are clean and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, dishes, glassware, and silverware using manual and mechanical cleaning methods.
- Ensure the kitchen and dishwashing area is kept clean, organized, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Dispose of kitchen waste, recycling materials, and garbage following proper procedures.
- Clean kitchen floors, walls, worktables, and food preparation surfaces regularly.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, fryers, and refrigerators.
- Restock cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor of any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks such as fetching ingredients or transporting food items, when required.
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a stewarding or kitchen helper role is preferred, but not required.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment safety.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and work in a hot kitchen environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
