Job Description: TGT English Teacher
CBSE Curriculum – Grades 6 to 10
Position Overview:
The TGT English Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality English education in accordance with the CBSE Curriculum. The role focuses on developing students’ language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and appreciation for literature and effective communication.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Teach English for Grades 6 to 10 following the CBSE curriculum framework.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop language proficiency, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and literary appreciation.
- Use student-centered and interactive teaching strategies, including discussions, debates, creative writing, and project-based learning.
- Integrate cross-curricular connections to enhance understanding and relevance of English in real-world contexts.
- Assess students using formative and summative methods aligned with CBSE standards, including assignments, tests, and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
- Promote reading habits, literary appreciation, and effective communication skills among students.
- Participate actively in school activities, departmental meetings, professional development, and training programs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students’ progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Follow school policies, CBSE guidelines, and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Recognized teaching qualification and expertise in English.
- Experience teaching English at the secondary level (Grades 6–10) preferred.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to foster critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning.
- Commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion, and continuous professional development.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
