Job Summary
We are inviting passionate sports enthusiast for the role of Junior Coach. The role offers you with extensive opportunities to gain hands-on experience in the sports sector at the grassroots level.
In your role, you would have a constitutive role in motivating and empowering children to seek purpose and joy in sports. In the capacity of your role, you would be working with low-income communities of Delhi. The role shall test you broadly on your technical, social and emotional strengths in different situations.
In your role within the schools, you would be driving teams (U7 to U13) in the after school community program. Monitoring progress and ensuring implementation of the curriculum at regular intervals will be a critical part of your role.
Responsibilities and Duties
- You are expected to provide a minimum of 40 hours per week for part time role which includes training and planning hours
- One to two years of relevant and strong experience in the field of sports and physical education training is expected
- In-depth understanding of technical and tactical aspects of Football
- Ability to plan sessions effectively using multiple resources like age appropriate equipment, fitness aspects and multimedia tools
- Timely planning of sessions and documentation of sessions conducted in Coach journal, administering assessments, collecting and submitting the assessment data sheet
- Ability to understand children and support them technically and psychologically
- Coaches are expected to be present in weekly coach meeting & monthly training sessions
- Training & preparing teams for state level tournaments
- Engaging with parents and community stakeholders to facilitate their effective engagement and support towards the community sports project
- People with experience of working with children through sports in low income communities / schools will be preferred
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Two or more years of relevant and strong experience in the field of sports and physical training is expected
- Sports qualification of School/ College Level participation is recommended
- Minimum AIFF D License certification
- Adaptability to different situations within the schools and in the communities
