Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital front office (preferred).
- Knowledge of Hospital Information System (HIS/HMS) and MS Office.
Job Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and attendants courteously.
- Register OPD/IPD patients and create/update patient records.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm doctor appointments.
- Guide patients to the appropriate department or service.
- Handle admission and discharge-related front office formalities.
- Receive and transfer telephone calls professionally.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and billing departments.
- Verify patient details and maintain accurate documentation.
- Handle billing queries, payment collection, and issue receipts as per hospital policy.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Address patient complaints politely and escalate unresolved issues.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and patient-friendly.
- Maintain daily registers, appointment records, and front office reports.
- Follow hospital SOPs, NABH guidelines, and infection control practices.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting authority.
