Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Technical Consultant / Solution Architect
Engagement Type: Part-Time Contract (Remote)
Duration: 2–3 months (with possible extension)
Availability: 10–20 hours per week
Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Technical Consultant to design and implement a custom Internal Vendor Payment Request & Approval Workflow for a client in Saudi Arabia.
The client currently manages payment requests manually and requires a digital workflow integrated with Dynamics 365 Finance.
The solution should provide an internal payment request process with configurable approvals before Finance creates the Vendor Payment Journal.
Current Business Process
The client's current workflow is:
- Requesting Department creates an Internal Payment Request.
- Supporting documents are attached:
- Vendor Invoice
- Purchase Order
- Contract
- Other supporting documents
- Department Manager reviews and approves.
- Finance reviews and approves.
- If the payment exceeds SAR 100,000, Executive Director approval is required.
- After final approval, Finance creates and processes the Vendor Payment Journal within Dynamics 365 Finance.
Project Objectives
Design and implement a secure electronic approval workflow that:
- Eliminates the current manual approval process
- Provides a complete approval audit trail
- Supports role-based approvals
- Supports conditional approval routing based on payment amount
- Stores supporting documentation
- Integrates with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance
- Allows Finance to process approved requests into the payment process
Responsibilities
- Conduct functional discovery sessions with stakeholders
- Analyze the existing payment approval process
- Recommend the most suitable architecture
- Design the end-to-end solution
- Configure or develop the required workflow
- Develop required customizations in Dynamics 365 Finance (X++)
- Develop Power Apps / Power Automate components where appropriate
- Integrate the solution with Dynamics 365 Finance
- Configure notifications and approval routing
- Implement document attachment capabilities
- Perform unit testing
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Provide deployment support
- Deliver technical and functional documentation
- Conduct knowledge transfer to the client's team

- Experience with Middle East or Saudi Arabia implementations is a plus
