Role Purpose
This role is responsible for performing all land-related activities required for successful project execution in the PT&D business. This includes ensuring timely completion of land related work, securing Right of Way (RoW) clearances, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. The role demands Strong understanding of land laws and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring land parcels required for projects, ensuring alignment with business timelines
Collaborate with site teams and operations to proactively address and resolve RoW and land acquisition challenges.
Ensuring minimal project delays and seamless execution.
Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements related to land acquisition and RoW
Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports on land acquisition progress, challenges and resolutions
implement strategies to resolve RoW challenges proactively
Prioritize risks related to land acquisition and RoW clearance, including legal, operational, and community-related risks
Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize potential disruptions to project timelines
Monitor and evaluate ongoing risks, updating mitigation plans as necessary
Build and maintain relationships with local communities, government bodies, and contractors to facilitate smooth project execution
Represent the organization in discussions with local governments, Panchayats, and other authorities
Indicative Experience and Exposure
Bachelor’s degree in law, Civil Engineering, Urban/Regional Planning, or Land Management
Master’s degree in business administration, Infrastructure Management, or Land/Urban Policy (preferred)
5+ years of experience in land acquisition and Right of Way (RoW) for transmission, distribution, or linear infrastructure projects (roads, pipelines, railways)
Strong understanding of land laws, compensation frameworks, rehabilitation & resettlement norms, and applicable state revenue procedures
