Role Summary
The Merchandiser will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing jewellery product assortment across retail stores and online platforms. The role involves inventory planning, product lifecycle management, coordination with production teams, and ensuring the right product mix is available to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
The candidate will work closely with design, production, inventory, retail, and marketing teams to ensure smooth product availability and strong merchandising strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Planning & Assortment Management
· Plan and manage product assortment for retail stores and online platforms.
· Analyze sales trends, customer demand, and inventory levels to determine product requirements.
· Ensure the right mix of jewellery collections (rings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.) is available across stores.
2. Inventory & Stock Management
· Monitor inventory levels across stores and warehouse.
· Coordinate with inventory and production teams to ensure stock availability.
· Track fast-moving and slow-moving jewellery products and recommend replenishment or liquidation strategies.
3. Product Development Coordination
· Work closely with design and production teams to develop new jewellery collections.
· Coordinate product launches and ensure timely availability of collections in stores.
· Monitor production timelines and ensure delivery schedules are met.
4. Retail Merchandising Support
· Ensure stores have the right product assortment based on store performance and customer demand.
· Support store teams in product selection and merchandising strategies.
· Assist with visual merchandising and display planning to enhance product presentation.
5. Sales & Performance Analysis
· Analyze sales data, margins, and product performance.
· Identify top-selling designs and underperforming SKUs.
· Recommend actions such as reorders, product rotation, or promotional strategies.
6. Vendor & Production Coordination
· Coordinate with manufacturing vendors and internal production teams.
· Track order status and ensure timely delivery of jewellery products.
· Maintain accurate documentation related to product orders and deliveries.
7. Reporting & Merchandising Insights
· Prepare weekly and monthly merchandising reports.
· Track key metrics such as:
o SKU performance
o Inventory turnover
o Sell-through rate
o Stock availability
· Provide insights to improve product assortment and sales performance.
Key Skills & Competencies
· Strong merchandising and inventory planning skills
· Understanding of jewellery product categories and collections
· Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
· Excellent coordination and communication skills
· Knowledge of retail sales trends and consumer behavior
· Proficiency in MS Excel and merchandising reports
· Ability to manage multiple product categories simultaneously
Educational Qualification
· Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Business, or related field.
· Certification in retail merchandising or supply chain management is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
