Job Overview
We are looking for a highly creative and experienced Senior Textile Design Manager to lead and manage our design team for sarees and suits. The ideal candidate should have a strong design vision, excellent aesthetic sense, and prior experience working in textile designing and printing factories.
The role involves conceptualising premium print collections, guiding the creative team, developing market-relevant designs, and ensuring high-quality execution from idea to production.
Candidates from reputed institutes such as National Institute of Fashion Technology, National Institute of Design, or other leading design institutes will be preferred.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the entire textile design team
- Creating and visualising original print concepts for sarees and suits
- Developing premium, trend-forward, and market-relevant textile collections
- Supervising print development, colour stories, motifs, layouts, and overall aesthetics
- Coordinating with production and printing teams for smooth execution
- Ensuring accurate colour matching and print quality
- Researching fashion, textile, and international design trends
- Guiding junior designers and maintaining creative standards across all collections
- Bringing fresh ideas and strong visual direction to the brand
Requirements
- Strong experience in textile print designing and factory production environments
- Excellent creative and visualisation skills
- Strong understanding of saree and suit design aesthetics
- Good knowledge of printing techniques, colour combinations, and fabric presentation
- Proficiency in Photoshop and related design software
- Leadership and team management capabilities
- Smart, energetic, creative, and detail-oriented personality
- Good communication and coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate from NIFT, NID, or other reputed design institutes preferred
- Prior experience in textile printing factories or ethnic wear brands preferred
Preferred Experience
- 4+ years experience in textile print design and team handling
