Job Title: Pathology Technician
Location: Horizon Prime Hospital, Near Hiranandani Estate, Ghodbunder Road, Patlipada, Thane West
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Pathology Technician responsible for examining and diagnosing diseases through the analysis of patient samples such as blood, tissues, and other body fluids.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various laboratory tests on body fluids and tissue samples (blood, urine, etc.)
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment ranging from basic to advanced
- Identify bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms using laboratory techniques
- Analyze chemical content of body fluids
- Perform blood grouping and cross-matching for transfusions
- Conduct drug level testing to monitor patient response to treatment
- Collect patient information, explain procedures, and ensure patient cooperation
- Ensure proper patient identification and accurate documentation
- Prepare, label, process, and store specimens as per standard protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with safety and quality standards
- Coordinate effectively with healthcare staff and maintain good communication
- Follow hospital policies regarding grooming and professional conduct
- Participate in quality initiatives and adhere to standard procedures
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of pathology and laboratory procedures
- Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Qualification
- DMLT / Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or relevant field
Working Hours
- 9-hour duty
- Rotational shifts (Morning / Evening / Night)
