Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and clinically skilled ICU/CCU Physician to manage critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The candidate will be responsible for providing timely medical care, emergency management, patient monitoring, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of critical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor patient condition, vital parameters, ventilator settings, and treatment response
- Handle medical emergencies including respiratory failure, shock, sepsis, cardiac events, and trauma cases
- Coordinate patient care with consultants, nursing staff, and allied departments
- Perform and assist with ICU procedures as required
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and treatment records
- Ensure adherence to ICU protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
- Communicate patient condition and treatment plans effectively with relatives and caregivers
- Participate in code blue and emergency response activities
- Support smooth handover during shift changes and maintain continuity of care
Eligibility Criteria
- MBBS with ICU experience preferred
- MD / DNB in General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, or Critical Care preferred
- Fellowship or training in Critical Care Medicine will be an added advantage
- Valid medical council registration mandatory
Preferred Skills
- Strong clinical judgment and emergency management skills
- Experience in ventilator management and critical care monitoring
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Disciplined and patient-focused approach to care
