Job Description: Sales Executive (Government Vertical)
Location – Based on Chandigarh for Upper North

Role Overview - The Sales Executive for the Government Vertical is a strategic growth role focused on expanding the company’s footprint within State/Central Government departments, PSUs, and Autonomous Bodies. Unlike a standard retail sales role, this position requires a deep understanding of the GeM ecosystem, government procurement cycles, and the ability to build long-term relationships with key decision-makers (HOOs, DDOs, and Procurement Officers).
Key Responsibilities -
1) Market Intelligence & Lead Gen: Identify upcoming government requirements by analyzing Annual Procurement Plans (APP) of various departments.
2) GeM Front-end Operations: Actively track Bids and Custom Bids. Identify opportunities for Direct Purchase and L1 Purchase by ensuring our products are visible to customer.
3) Liaison & Relationship Management: Conduct regular visits to government offices to pitch products/services and understand their specific pain points. Influence the creation of "Technical Specifications" in upcoming tenders to align with our product strengths (within ethical guidelines). But not limited to Lead generation.
4) Payment Recovery: Coordinate with government accounts departments to ensure timely release of payments and resolve any billing disputes. Required Skills & Qualifications Category Requirement Experience 2-3 years in Government Sales or B2G (Business to Government) sales. GeM knowledge, including Bid/RA participation. Communication Excellent and presentation skills; ability to speak the "language of government" (formal and persistent). Networking Existing connections within local/regional government departments is a huge plus. Tools Proficiency in MS office and CRM software.
5) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Revenue Target: Achieving monthly/quarterly sales quotas specifically from government accounts.
6) Market Share: Increasing the number of government departments registered as active clients. The ideal candidate is a "Hunter" who doesn't just wait for tenders to appear on the portal but works "ground-up" to get our products specified in the department's budget. They must be resilient, as government sales cycles are longer and require consistent follow-up.
