Position: Assistant/Associate Professor

Role Overview
The appointee will teach undergraduate and postgraduate Electronics and Computer courses, supervise laboratory and project work, contribute to curriculum development, engage in research and consultancy, and participate in departmental and institutional activities. The minimum eligibility is a Master’s Degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching and Instruction: Deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for core and elective courses across the E & C curriculum; prepare lesson plans, course materials, and assessments.
- Laboratory and Practical Work: Manage and maintain departmental labs (communication, VLSI, microelectronics, embedded systems, signal processing); ensure safety and compliance; design hands‑on experiments and supervise practical sessions.
- Student Mentorship: Guide student projects, internships, dissertations, and career development; provide academic advising and monitor student progress.
- Research and Scholarly Activity: Pursue a research agenda in areas such as communication systems, signal processing, VLSI, embedded systems, RF and microwave, IoT, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and conferences, apply for research funding, and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects.
- Curriculum and Quality Assurance: Participate in syllabus design, course revision, and implementation of outcome‑based education and accreditation requirements.
- Departmental Service and Outreach: Serve on committees, contribute to admissions and placement activities, build industry partnerships, and support community engagement and consultancy.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
- Master’s Degree in Electronics and Computer or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- Must satisfy statutory and affiliating university eligibility criteria for faculty appointment.
Experience Requirement
- Fresh postgraduates with strong academic records are eligible for Assistant Professor roles.
- Prior teaching, research, or relevant industry experience is desirable and will be considered for appointment at the Associate Professor level or for preference during shortlisting.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Electronics and Computer Engineering or ongoing doctoral research.
- Publications in indexed journals and conference proceedings.
- Demonstrated experience in laboratory setup, project supervision, or industry collaboration.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical Competence: Strong foundation in core areas such as Computer Systems, Digital Signal Processing, VLSI and Microelectronics, Embedded Systems, Antennas and Microwave Engineering, RF Circuits, IoT, and Optical Communication.
- Pedagogy: Student‑centred teaching methods, assessment design, use of digital teaching tools, and ability to deliver blended and online instruction.
- Research Skills: Experimental design, simulation and hardware prototyping, data analysis, technical writing, and grant proposal development.
- Communication and Interpersonal: Clear oral and written communication, mentoring ability, teamwork, and leadership in academic settings.
- Administration: Time management, record keeping, participation in accreditation and quality processes, and ability to coordinate labs and projects.
