Job Summary:
The PGT Chemistry Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to senior secondary students (Grades XI & XII) as per the CBSE curriculum. The role focuses on building strong conceptual understanding, preparing students for board exams and competitive exams, and fostering scientific thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons in line with CBSE curriculum
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, and instructional materials
- Teach Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry effectively
- Conduct practical sessions and ensure proper lab management and safety
- Prepare students for CBSE board exams and competitive exams (NEET/JEE – basics)
- Design and evaluate tests, assignments, and examinations
- Analyze student performance and provide remedial support
- Maintain academic records, assessment data, and reports
- Integrate technology and modern teaching methods in classroom instruction
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school academic activities
- Support students’ overall development and discipline
- Collaborate with other faculty members for curriculum planning
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Chemistry (M.Sc Chemistry)
- B.Ed is mandatory (as per CBSE norms)
- Strong subject knowledge across all branches of Chemistry
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for students
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital teaching tools
Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in CBSE schools (preferred)
- Experience handling Grades XI & XII is essential
- Experience in board exam preparation is an advantage
