Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Billing Engineer to manage project billing and quantity verification for civil construction projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing client and subcontractor bills, quantity estimation, measurement verification and coordinating with project teams to ensure accurate and timely billing.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process client bills, subcontractor bills and contractor payment certificates.
- Verify measurements and quantities executed at the project site.
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), running account (RA) bills and final bills.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants and clients for billing approvals.
- Monitor project quantities, work progress and billing schedules.
- Reconcile quantities and maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
- Prepare variation statements and assist in claim preparation where applicable.
- Ensure billing activities are carried out in accordance with contract terms and project requirements.
- Coordinate with the accounts and procurement teams regarding billing-related matters.
- Maintain proper documentation of measurements, invoices and supporting records.
Requirements
- B.Tech/BE in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Billing Engineer in civil construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity surveying, RA bills, final bills and measurement verification.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and construction drawings.
- Good knowledge of billing procedures, contract documentation and project coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office and billing documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in residential, commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and quantity take-off methods.
- Knowledge of contract administration and project documentation will be an added advantage.
Additional Requirement: The selected candidate should be willing to relocate to Coimbatore during the initial phase of employment and may subsequently be assigned to other project locations based on business requirements.
