We are looking for a skilled Spray Painter with hands-on experience in surface preparation, putty application, primer coating, sanding, and final paint finishing of plastic, metal, resin, and 3D-printed parts. The ideal candidate should be capable of delivering high-quality cosmetic finishes suitable for prototypes, vacuum cast parts, and production components.
Key ResponsibilitiesSurface Preparation
- Inspect parts for surface defects, layer lines, sink marks, scratches, and imperfections.
- Perform surface preparation using putty, fillers, and body fillers where required.
- Sand components manually and using power tools to achieve smooth surfaces.
- Clean and degrease parts before painting.
- Apply masking materials to protect non-painted areas.
- Apply primer coats and perform intermediate sanding to achieve paint-ready surfaces.
Painting & Finishing
- Mix paints, hardeners, and thinners as per specifications.
- Apply primer, base coat, top coat, and clear coat using spray guns.
- Ensure uniform paint thickness, color consistency, and finish quality.
- Perform touch-ups and rectification of paint defects such as orange peel, runs, pinholes, and dust contamination.
- Achieve customer-specified finishes including matte, satin, gloss, textured, and cosmetic-grade finishes.
Quality & Safety
- Inspect finished parts for quality and appearance standards.
- Maintain spray guns, compressors, paint booths, and finishing equipment.
- Follow safety procedures while handling paints, solvents, and chemicals.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in the painting area.
Required Skills
- Experience in putty application, primer coating, sanding, and surface preparation.
- Good understanding of PU paints, acrylic paints, primers, and clear coats.
- Ability to identify and correct paint defects.
- Knowledge of spray gun setup, paint mixing, and paint booth operation.
- Strong attention to detail and finishing quality.
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules. These responsibilities align with common industrial spray painting practices involving surface preparation, filling, sanding, priming, and spray finishing.
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in spray painting and surface finishing.
- Experience with prototype parts, vacuum casting, FRP, plastic components, automotive parts, or 3D-printed parts preferred.
- Experience with PU painting and cosmetic finishing is an advantage.
Education
- ITI / Vocational Training / Relevant Trade Certification preferred.
- Relevant hands-on experience may substitute formal qualifications.

Salary Range
₹20,000 – ₹40,000 per month (depending on experience and skill level)
