Job description
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru is looking for an Assistant Professor for the Department of Mathematics, who have worked in areas of Applied Mathematics.
The successful candidate should have strong research and teaching skills, a Ph.D. in Mathematics, preferably in Applied Mathematics from a top- ranked University, with good research publications.
The publications must be in high ranked Scopus indexed journals.
The faculty should be competent to teach subjects like Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Probability, Statistics, Optimization, Numerical Analysis, etc.
The candidate should preferably have 1-4 years of teaching experience.
Skills Required
Teach courses related to all Engineering Mathematics courses and lab integrated Mathematics courses for AI students
Develop and maintain a strong research interest in the field of his/her specialization
Publish and present research in top journals and conferences
Supervise doctoral students in their research and dissertation activities
Motivate B.Tech and M.Tech students for research.
Participate actively in service and other departmental activities
Maintain professional and academic standards
Contribute to excellent student learning outcomes
Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Build collegiality and collaboration
Actively involve in professional organizations and activities
Develop and foster industry relationships
