JD for Mechanical Design
Position : Mechanical Design Engineer(Transformer)
Work Place : Kannur, near Thiruvallur Mapedu.
Experience : 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the transformer or electrical equipment industry.
Qualifications and Experience1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Key Responsibilities1. Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical components and systems for transformers, including tanks, radiators, and other accessories.
2. CAD Design: Create detailed CAD models and drawings using software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
3. Structural Analysis: Perform structural and thermal analysis to ensure design integrity and compliance with industry standards.
4. Material Selection: Select suitable materials for transformer components, considering factors like strength, durability, and cost.
5. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including electrical design, manufacturing, and testing.
Essential Skills1. Mechanical Design: Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, including mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
2. CAD Software: Proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
3. Analysis and Simulation: Familiarity with simulation tools like ANSYS or similar software for structural and thermal analysis.
4. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot design issues and optimize performance.
3. Certifications: Certification in CAD design or simulation software can be an added advantage.
Performance Metrics1. Design Quality: Evaluation of design quality, including accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.
2. Design Efficiency: Measurement of design cycle time and efficiency.
3. Innovation: Development of innovative designs that improve performance, reduce costs, or enhance reliability.
