- Develop and maintain applications on AS400 (IBM i) platform
- Write and modify code using RPG (RPGLE / ILE RPG), CL, and SQL
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform code enhancements, bug fixes, and application upgrades
- Provide production support and troubleshoot application issues
- Monitor system performance and optimize existing applications
- Handle batch jobs, scheduling, and system utilities
- Work with DB2 for i (AS400 database)
- Design and maintain physical and logical files
- Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures
- Ensure data integrity and performance optimization
- Integrate AS400 applications with modern systems using APIs/web services
- Support legacy modernization initiatives
- Work on data migration and transformation projects
- Strong experience in AS400 / IBM i platform
- Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, ILE, CL programming
- Experience with DB2/400 database
- Hands-on experience with SQL and query optimization
- Knowledge of AS400 concepts: Subfiles, Job Queues, Data Queues
- Experience with batch processing and job scheduling
- Understanding of system utilities and commands
- Experience with SEU, RDi (Rational Developer for i)
- Familiarity with source control tools (Git, SVN)
- Exposure to web services / APIs integration
- Experience in AS400 modernization (API enablement, cloud integration)
- Knowledge of Java/.NET integration with AS400 systems
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Exposure to ETL/data migration tools
