We are looking for a highly skilled
API DevOps Engineer to support the enterprise API Platform built on IBM API Connect (APIC). The role involves working closely with the API Architect to operationalize API deployments, automate platform management, and implement secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines across cloud-native environments.
- Deploy, configure, and manage IBM API Connect (APIC) environments in line with architectural and security standards
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps (ADO), and GitHub
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Ansible for repeatable, automated provisioning
- Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes (K8s), preferably on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Support GitOps practices for continuous delivery and platform automation
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) readiness of the API platform
- Collaborate with development, security, and platform teams to drive performance, compliance, and operational excellence
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of DevOps experience, ideally in API Platform or Integration domains
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM API Connect v10
- Proven experience with CI/CD automation using Jenkins, ADO, and GitHub
- Proficiency in Ansible, Terraform, and scripting (Shell/Python)
- Experience with Azure and Kubernetes (AKS) deployments
- Working knowledge of GitOps methodologies
- Strong understanding of API gateway policies, security (OAuth, TLS), and operational monitoring
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IBM App Connect and API-led integrations
- Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance frameworks, and agile DevSecOps practices
- Exposure to hybrid and multi-cloud environments
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across global teams
