Preferred Background
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Prior experience working with a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm is mandatory.
- Experience in shipping, offshore, marine, or logistics sectors will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Companies Act compliances.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
- Prepare accurate accounting reports and financial statements, including Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Prepare and record journal entries relating to assets, liabilities, revenue, expenses, and general ledger transactions.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and other ledger balances, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure timely completion of financial reporting.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
- Prepare and file statutory returns, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliances, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, statutory auditors, internal auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities during audits and assessments.
- Maintain proper accounting records, statutory registers, and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Review accounting processes, identify discrepancies, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, internal controls, and financial procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation laws, and company policies.
- Assist in payroll accounting, statutory deductions, and employee reimbursement accounting, where applicable. Monitor cash flow, banking transactions, and fund utilization to support efficient financial operations.
- Liaise with internal departments and management by providing financial information, reports, and accounting support for informed decision-making.
- Support the Finance Manager in implementing financial policies, strengthening internal controls, and achieving departmental objectives.
- Perform any other finance and accounts-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager or Management from time to time.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 per month
