Job Overview:
LPL is seeking an AVP, Core Network & F5 Operations Manager to lead a team of 10–12 Junior and Senior Engineers responsible for implementing and providing Tier 2 support for Core Network and F5 technologies in a Hybrid Data Center / Cloud environment. This role combines strong technical oversight with leadership responsibilities to ensure operational stability, scalability, and security for LPL, our Advisors, and their clients.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management
Manage and mentor a team of 10–12 engineers focused on Core Network and F5 operations.
Oversee workload distribution, performance evaluations, and career development.
Drive operational excellence through process standardization, documentation, and automation.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align operational strategies with business objectives.
Operational & Technical Responsibilities
Supervise implementation and Tier 2 support for Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers (WLC), and Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM.
Manage F5 LTM and GTM platforms for load balancing and global traffic management.
Ensure high availability and security across LAN, WAN, and branch office networks.
Troubleshoot escalated network and application delivery issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
Maintain compliance with Hybrid Data Center / Cloud architecture and industry best practices.
KPIs & Success Metrics:
Operational Uptime: Maintain network and application delivery uptime of 99.99% across core infrastructure.
Incident Resolution: Achieve Tier 2 ticket resolution within
Project Delivery: Complete network implementation projects on time and within budget (target: 95% adherence).
Team Development: Ensure 100% completion of annual training plans for all team members; maintain employee engagement score greater than 70%.
Change Management: Maintain less than 1% change-related incident rate through rigorous planning and validation.
Compliance & Security: Pass all internal and external audits with zero major findings.

Requirements:
8+ years in Network Operations with strong expertise in Cisco networking and Infoblox.
5+ years hands-on experience with F5 LTM and GTM.
3+ years in a leadership or management role overseeing technical teams.
Deep knowledge of networking protocols (VLANs, Spanning-Tree, OSPF, BGP, DNS, 802.1x).
Experience with network security hardening and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, LiveNX, ELK).
Familiarity with SD-WAN and MPLS technologies.
