Key Responsibilities1. Core Accounting & Financial Management
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records, ledger entries, and voucher entries (sales, purchases, expenses, and cash/bank receipts).
- Process daily billing transactions, POS sales, and payment reconciliations (Cash, Credit Card, UPI, and Wire Transfers).
- Prepare periodic financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow summaries.
2. Inventory & Metal Stock Accounting
- Track and maintain accurate stock records for precious metals (gold, silver, platinum) and loose gemstones/diamonds.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system stock registers on a daily/weekly basis and investigate any discrepancies.
- Account for wastage, making charges, refining, and metal weight losses standard in jewellery production/customization.
- Manage vendor, worker (karigar), and supplier accounts, including gold-loan/metal ledger accounting where applicable.
3. Statutory & Tax Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to national and local tax regulations, including GST, TDS, TCS, and E-Way bill generation.
- Prepare and file periodic tax returns (e.g., GST Returns: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and handle statutory payments accurately and on time.
- Assist in internal and external financial audits by maintaining clear audit trails and supporting documentation.
4. Costing & Management Reporting (MIS)
- Calculate manufacturing/product costs (metal weight + labor/making charges + stone cost + markup).
- Generate daily/monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports regarding sales performance, stock turnover, and cash flow forecasts.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. (M.Com or Inter-CA is a plus).
- Experience: 2+ years of core accounting experience, preferably in jewellery retail, manufacturing, or luxury fashion.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting ERP software (e.g., Tally Prime, Busy, Zoho Books, or specialized Jewellery ERPs like MMI Jewelle). High proficiency in MS Excel.
- Knowledge: Sound understanding of metal rate variations, wastage/making charge calculations, GST/TDS laws, and stock reconciliation.
- Attributes: High level of integrity, strong numerical accuracy, keen attention to detail, and analytical capability.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
